Escort Ground Forces Across No-Man's-Land on Denebola V

West Sector, Denebola System, Denebola V

House Marik has deployed powerful anti-ship guns on the planet, preventing us from landing troops and exerting our rightful control over the world. Lyran forces in the area are prepared to demolish the guns, but they need to be escorted to the area.

Special Rules

The Demolition team can move on its own, but as it has the stats of Foot Platoon, it is quite slow. The Contractor may reduce their flat rate payment by an amount sufficient to purchase a Common transport in advance of the mission. The Demolition team is controlled by the Contractor. Both players may withdraw forces off any edge; units forced to withdraw will never withdraw off the edge their opponent walked in on.

Primary Objective:

Withdraw the Demolition team off the edge opposite the edge they walked in on.

Battlefield Intelligence

Terrain Survey: No Man's Land divides the map with a valley that runs east to west. There are three hills on the north side of the map, and three hills on the south side of the map. They have their closest edge 9in from the centerline of the valley.

Terrain Features: One small group cluster of trees has somehow survived the shelling and sits in the middle of the valley. Small rock outcroppings also protrude out of the ground.

Atmospheric Density: Standard

Darkness: This planet has a full Day/Night cycle, so the contracting player may decide to attack at night if they wish (see rules on PDF page 62).

Electromagnetic Interference: No EMI expected.

Gravity: The gravity is 1.13 g, and may impact movement, see page 62

Temperature: In the daytime, the temperature stays above -30 c. At night, it plunges below that, and extreme cold rules are in effect (see page 62).

Wind: No adverse weather expected.

Structural Survey: There may be ruined structures in the valley, but there are no intact structures on the map.

Deployment Instructions

The OpFor player picks either the North or South side to come in on. The Contractor comes in on the other side.
