Forward Staging on Callison

West Sector, Callison System, Callison II

The Lyran Alliance is preparing to counter attack against Davion aggression. To mask their approach, they are preparing enough launch points to keep House Davion guessing. This contract is to drive Marik forces off an old DropPort for long enough that it could be used as a staging ground. Then you may withdraw.

Battlefield Intelligence

Terrain Survey: This DropPort in the more remote polar region of the planet. Most of the terrain is Snow.

Terrain Features: The DropPort is in a valley. The OpFor player may place up to 4 hills symmetrically around the DropPort.
The DropPort is cleared regularly of snow, but it has to go somewhere. The OpFor player may place up to 2x 6in patches of Deep Snow (see rules PDF page 56) adjacent but not overlapping the DropPort.

Atmospheric Density: Standard

Darkness: This planet has a full Day/Night cycle, so the contracting player may decide to attack at night if they wish (see rules on PDF page 62).

Electromagnetic Interference: No EMI expected.

Gravity: The gravity is close enough to 1.0 g that there is no noticeable difference.

Temperature: While it's cold, it's not intolerably so. The temperature does not reach into extreme ranges.

Wind: No adverse weather expected.

Structural Survey: In the middle of table, there is a square DropPort that is 10in on a side. It is considered clear terrain, and units may not attempt to go Hull Down while on it. Other structures may be placed in a mutually agreeable manner.

Deployment Instructions

The Contracting player picks the side they wish to enter on. If the OpFor player used Land Mines, they may not pick the side that is completely clear of land mines, but they may pick any other side. If the OpFor player used Land Mines, the OpFor player must enter from the side that is completely clear of land mines. Otherwise, they may enter from any side that was not picked by the Contracting player.
