Inner Sphere Market Listings

The units listed below may be purchased for the listed prices. The availability of a unit is based on the area, industrial level of the planet, and rarity of the unit. DropShips may fly to any planet in the area, and thus need not worry about the industrial level of the planet. Ground Bases may only purchase units on the planet where they reside, and so must consider the industrial level of the planet to determine how many of the desired unit are available. Some units are available throughout the Inner Sphere, regardless of the area. These are considered "Universally Available," and should be considered available in each area in addition to all of the units available in that specific area.

Availability refers to how common a unit is. Units can be Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Unique. Common units are plentiful on that market. A player may purchase as many Common units as they wish. Uncommon units are available, but not in large numbers. A player may only purchase one of each Uncommon unit per Maintenance Phase. Rare units are very limited in their availability. Players may only purchase one Rare unit of each type per Maintenance Phase. Unique units are one of a kind. Unique units are specific units that are available in specific areas. As the name suggests, only one of each is available, and if more than one person would like to purchase them, they will have to bid for it.

The Industrial Level of a planet affects the availability of the units for purchase. DropShips need not worry about this, as they can fly to any market in the area to make their purchase. Ground Bases must consider the industrial level of the planet they are on when they try to purchase. Backwater planets treat "Common" units as "Uncommon," and so only one unit of each type may be purchased per Maintenance phase. They only exception to this is Supply Points, which are always Common, even on Backwater planets. Backwater planets treat "Uncommon" as "Rare." Industrial planets treat "Uncommon" units as "Common." When purchasing units on an Industrial world, players may purchase as many Uncommon units as they like.

Table of Contents

The assets available for purchase are organized in these categories: Universally Available Units: These units are available in each area, in addition to the units available to that specific area.

Non-Unit Assets: These are not units that are represented on the board, but rather assets that can be used to provide some benefit in the campaign. Their type is "Cargo" and require a unit to have a CT value to transport them normally.

Combat Vehicles: These are Combat Vehicle units, including hover, tracked, wheeled, and VTOL units. They can be transported by and stored in anything with a Combat Vehicle Capacity and may be repaired in a Vehicle Bay. For the purposes of loading into a DropShip, Size 1 and Size 2 Vehicles are considered "Light," while Size 3 and Size 4 are considered "Heavy." Light Vehicles can load into a DropShip that can carry Heavy Vehicles, but Heavy Vehicles cannot load into a DropShip limited to Light Vehicles.

Aerospace: These are Aerospace units, both Conventional Fighters and Aerospace Fighters. They can be transported by and stored in anything with a Aerospace Vehicle Capacity or a Small Craft Capacity. They may be repaired in a Aerospace Hanger.

Infantry: These are Infantry units, including both conventional and Battle Armor. They can be transported by and stored in anything with Infantry Transport Capacity (abbreviated by IT). The transporting/storing unit with IT must have an IT number sufficient to cover the CAR number of the Infantry unit. Damaged Infantry units can be "repaired" (ie, new members recruited and trained) in Garrisons.

Industrial 'Mech: These are Industrial 'Mech units. They can be transported by, stored in, and repaired by anything with a 'Mech Bay.

Support Vehicles: These are Support Vehicles units. They can be transported by, stored in, and repaired by anything with a Vehicle Bay.

Campaign Buildings: Campaign buildings are not purchased with Warchest Points (WP), but rather they are constructed with Supply Points (SP). Accordingly, players don't necessarily need access to a market to build these, they just need to have enough Supply Points loaded in a base at the place where they want to build the Building. If they need to purchase additional Supply Points, the Supplie Points may be purchased with Warchest Points, but they must be transported to the planet where the construction is to take place, if not purchased there.
